Fall[in] For You Pumpkin Smoothie

While we are currently enjoying the lovely Spring flowers in Texas, summer is sneaking in quickly and so are the warm days! With the warmer days ever present, there's nothing like the cool air conditioner welcoming you home and a smoothie to entice your taste buds. This Fall[in] For You Pumpkin Smoothie will surely win you over! Not only will this smoothie be a refreshing treat after a long day, but it will remind you of the cooling fall weather to come with its taste of pumpkin and spice.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Servings: 1- 16 oz. smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen banana chunks

  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree

  • 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 2 deglet noor dates

  • 1/2 t. pumpkin pie spice

  • 1/2 t. ground cinnamon

Optional Toppings:

  • sprinkle of cinnamon

  • 1 crushed graham cracker

  • 1 T. of pumpkin seeds

Directions:

  1. Add the frozen banana chunks, pumpkin puree, unsweetened almond milk, dates, and spices to a blender.

  2. Blend together on lowest speed and then increase speed until everything is blended together.

  3. Pour contents into your favorite smoothie cup.

  4. Add any toppings you wish, then enjoy!

Notes:

​If the smoothie is too thick add more almond milk; if the smoothie is not thick enough add more frozen banana.
