Berry Delicious Oatmeal

This is my FAVORITE oatmeal recipe! It is sweet (with 0 added sugars), all the of the sweetness come naturally from the fruit. And instead of the traditional soupy oatmeal texture, this recipe turns out firmer- closer to a muffin consistency. Not only does this recipe taste yummy, but it's simple to make and can be ready to eat in under 10 minutes!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Bake Time: 5 minutes

  • 1 ripe banana (covered with freckles)

  • 1/2 cup applesauce

  • 1/2 cup oats

  • splash of vanilla

  • 1/2 t. cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup frozen berries


  1. Mash the banana. (Hint: If the banana is not super ripe, I find it helpful to gently mash it a little before I peal the banana)

  2. Stir in the applesauce, oats, vanilla and cinnamon.

  3. Stir in the berries.

  4. Evenly spread mixture in bowl, so it is completely level.

  5. Microwave for 4 1/2 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before eating.

Notes: This recipe keeps well in the fridge and can be saved to eat later, cold or reheated.
