Raw Oatmeal

If you're tired of eating cooked oatmeal, try this recipe out! Instead of cooking the oats, they soak in cold milk. The result is a slightly chewy cold cereal. I first started eating my oats like this when I was in AmeriCorps because we had limited resources and time. And I've been eating it ever since (over 3 years). When I make this recipe: I'll prep everything when I first wake up, then I let the oats soak while I get ready for work.

Raw oatmeal

Ingredients:

-1/2 cup old fashioned oats

-3/4 cup almond milk

-sprinkle of cinnamon

-1 banana, sliced

Directions:

1. Combine oats, milk and cinnamon.

2. Let oats soak for 15 minutes

3. Add banana

Serves: 1

Raw oatmeal topped with banana
