Naan Traditional Pizza

This is a simple and healthy alternative to traditional pizza. I love homemade pizza. However, making pizza crust from scratch takes some time. This homemade pizza recipe can be made in 30 minutes--start to finish, thanks to the already made naan bread crust. I buy freshly made naan bread from HEB's bakery section (or check your local grocery/bakery).

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10- 20 minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole wheat naan bread

  • 1/3 cup bell pepper, diced

  • 3 grape tomatoes, halved

  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach

  • 3 T. hummus

Directions:

  1. Spread hummus on naan bread.

  2. Layer spinach on top, followed with bell peppers and tomatoes.

  3. Bake in toaster oven at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or bake in oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.

Notes: You could replace the naan bread with pita bread, if you are having trouble finding naan bread. I prefer naan bread though.
