Chocolate Banana Smoothie
I love this smoothie recipe. It is a great sweat treat without added sugars! It only requires a little planning...freezing bananas ahead of time. Use riper bananas for a sweeter smoothie.
-1 1/2 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
-1/2 to 3/4 cup almond milk
-1 T cocoa powder
-1 strawberry (optional)
1. Put the first 3 ingredients in blender. Blend on medium speed for approximately 1-2 minutes. Stop the blender and stir contents if it is not blending well. You can also add a little more milk to make it easier to blend, the consistency just won't be as thick.
2. Using a spoon, scoop contents into a cup. If consistency is not too thick, then it'll easily pour into a cup.
3. Lastly, if you're feeling fancy, take a strawberry and slice in half to use as a garnish (or any fruit you have).
